The dilemma of designers

Do you know the proverb "A shoemaker's children go barefoot"? It's supposed to imply that you always neglect those closest to you, but to me it's always meant "You never get around to designing something for yourself". Well, after our trip to Hawaii and receipt of dozens of gifts (or "omiyage"), it's time to get around to the thank you cards. I am a firm, as in bedrock firm, believer in the hand-written thank you note.

But let me tell you—designers get bored of their own designs. So after much experimentation and deleting of attempts, I have hit on my current favorite thank you.

Which I'm sure I'll get bored of in a few months.

Design by moi, don't steal it please
