By mess I mean messy design. And in a way these images aren't "messy", they are all considered. But one can aim for divine messiness. These are all old images I grabbed a long time ago so I unfortunately can't quote sources...
I often am attracted to things that have different patterns all over the place—it's like strewn petals, or fall leaves. Messy messy but the eye gets to travel all over. I haven't figured out how to make anything like this into stationery design. Am I not messy enough? I think I want to aspire to be.
